Ryan & Brianna got engaged in New York City and were the first couple married in Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo! Wedding planning is always a challenge, but doing something that no one has ever done before is next level! I’m so proud of them for pulling this off. They should get some sort of wedding planning badge, right?!  This couple’s creativity shown through in an incredible celebration full of personal touches and sentimental details.  From the morning cat snuggles to a projected NYC skyline, it was delightful to see every piece of this day come to life.

Brianna got ready in the comfort of her own home. I think this is the coziest way to start a wedding morning with your ladies!

It alternately rained, snowed and sleeted all morning so we were thrilled to see the sun come out, even for a few minutes at a time!

First look with Ryan

I always tell couples to wear their wedding rings after the first look since we move directly into portraits. It’s an exciting moment to finally wear that ring and Ryan was so cute about it!

The warm fireside at Jasper Hotel made for a perfect backdrop.

 

The greenery added a romantic touch to the ceremony location.

In a brilliant move, the ushers passed out hand warmers to the guests as they arrived.

 

Here comes the bride…

Brianna and her dad took a selfie right before walking down the aisle. A photo they will both treasure forever!

In lieu of a unity candle, Brianna and Ryan had both sets of parents began this part of the ceremony by watering a tree. This will eventually be planted at Ryan & Brianna’s home.

As if on cue, the sun came out for the kiss.  

That sunshine felt SO GOOD.

    One of the best parts of receptions at Jasper Hotel is watching the sky as the sun sets through the ballroom windows.

Brianna’s sister sang a speech to the tune of Little Mermaid’s “Under the Sea” and took everyone by surprise!
