Fargo Wedding Photographers Abby Anderson and an Inspiration Shoot
Every year I seem to hit the jackpot with the most amazing photography interns who become dear, dear friends. If I did a session for you in 2015 you probably have met either Lexi (remember her gorgeous senior session?!) or Abbie! Yes, I had an intern this year who had the same name as me. This made wedding days really fun. “Hey, I’m Abby the photographer! And this is my assistant, Abbie! So if you need anything, just yell for an Abby/ie and we’ll come running.”
A couple months ago I was chatting with Abbie at one of our weddings. I told her that I had brewing in my mind to do a relaxed, practice session sometime in the fall. No matter how many shoots you do for clients, it’s always good to do sessions for yourself. To practice, keep learning and growing. Abbie and her husband got married in August so it worked perfectly for them to dress up in their wedding attire and model for me. And since this was only a couple months after their real wedding, now they have an expanded set of weddings images to enjoy for the rest of their lives! Oh friends. I know I’m prone to hyperbole, but this really might be my favorite blog post of the year! I just recently blogged about my new lighting equipment. Well, it arrived on Wednesday and we shot two nights later. I wanted a chance to practice with the new lights and to try a couple new locations I had never been to.
No expectations, no time frames, a beautiful bride & groom, new equipment and new locations.
All of these factors resulted in a fairytale, life-giving, creatively exhilarating shoot that charged me up so much, I had a hard time getting to sleep that night.
For our second set of images, Abbie removed her veil and let her curls flow in the wind.
This is something that a lot of brides are afraid to do on a wedding day (and I totally get that!) but look how gorgeous and natural it looks. I am in love.
Ahhh. I can’t breathe. I hope you loved these images as much as I do! 🙂
Thank you, Abby, for the gift of these photos. Just gorgeous.
Wow, amazing photos – you captured Abbie’s beauty from inside 🙂
