These high school sweethearts were married on Saturday
at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead.
Ricky and Karli planned a classic, romantic wedding with dressy shades
of black, gray and victorian lilac, and everything was lovely!
Enjoy this peek into their wedding day.
A princess ball gown!
Karli said that every time she tried it on, it made her want to twirl!
Even Cinderella needed some help putting on her shoes… 🙂
Her first glimpse at herself in the mirror.
Perfect!
Inside the sanctuary, Ricky waited to see his bride.
Amid cheers from their wedding party, these two shared the first kiss of the day!
St. Joseph’s is such a pretty church full of gorgeous woodwork.
I loved the front steps, just outside the church, as well!
What a stunning backdrop for this princess bride!
We photographed the dashing groom, as well, but I happen to prefer the images on the right.
That is the real Ricky! (He was laughing at some of the groomsmen’s antics…)
One of my personal favorites:
We went to Concordia for some contrasted scenery.
The mid-day light was beautiful!
Another personal favorite below!
It stopped me in my tracks as I was editing.
The light, the moment…. ahhh. 🙂
The wedding party joined us for some portraits.
Looooove the Victorian Lilac color against this building!
The groomsmen asked to take this photograph,
and I told them I would only let them do it if they would give me 110% in facial expressions.
(They delivered.)
HAH!
Another little pocket of gorgeous light meant moooore portraits of the lovebirds!
Look at these elegant ladies!
Twirrrrrrrrrrl!!
We sent the wedding party back to the church
and I whisked away the bride and groom to what I like to call the “Tunnel of Trees” on Concordia’s campus.
Such a pretty spot.
More favorites!
Oh, how’s a girl to pick?!
Back at the church, we had a few more portraits, and then it was time for the ceremony!
Six layers of fabric makes for a very warm gown!
Sometimes it helps to do a little dress “flapping” to cool off the bride.
Love this moment between Karli and her mom, Daria.
Ceremony time!
Again, such a pretty church.
Prayers of blessing.
And, the kiss!
Ohhh, Karli. That smile!
All aboard the party bus.
I loved seeing glimpses of Ricky and Karli’s familiar ways throughout the wedding day.
These two are so clearly best of friends.
Gorgeous reception details were waiting for us at the Ramada Fargo!
Some heavy showers hit as the guests gathered at the hotel.
It was pretty to watch the raindrops come down through the sunshine.
The bride and groom arrived at the reception and were excited to enjoy the night ahead!
And look at these beautiful details!
And this cake! I mean, three cakes!!
TOO fun.
Ricky and Karli, I’m so happy for you two!
Your guys fit together so perfectly.
Thank you for having me along on your special day.
I wish you ALL the best as you begin married life!!!
