Ode to Garlic Salt | June Self Portrait

Photographer Self Portrait

Lately my cooking’s been wonderfully snappy
thanks to a salt making my mouth so blame happy.
McCormick, McCormick, you boggle my reasoning
I’m starstruck ( it’s true!) with this marvelous seasoning.

A vegetable that might have once seemed malicious
Transforms into something truly delicious.
Put it on meat when you’re going to roast it,
Put it on bread when you’re going to toast it.

This stuff makes the whole world seem better and brighter
All who partake will seem so much politer.
Bring with to work! To your in-laws! Vacation!
This spice is quite suitable to every occasion.

Oh garlic salt, garlic salt!  Noble and true.
It would be so foolish to pass over you.
The king of the spices, the spice of my heart
Lowly and humble, yet a work of true art!

Yes, this one is slightly crazier than the rest… 🙂

BEHIND
the LENS

Hi, I'm Abby Anderson! I love capturing beautiful stories through my lens. When I’m not behind the camera photographing weddings, portraits or brands, you’ll likely find me unwinding with a period drama or experimenting in the kitchen, creating a giant pot of soup packed with every colorful vegetable I can find.
