Oh goodness, where do I start with this engagement session?
Michael and Alexandra are incredibly stylish and sweet,
and photographing their engagement has definitely been a highlight in my 2014 schedule thus far!
Part of that was thanks to the weather…
A soggy downpour on the night of our first shoot required us to split their session in half
which turned out to be serendipitous, if you ask me.
I’m going to show you the second half first!
These images were taken out at Bluestem Trollwood last night at sunset:
Enjoy their Engagement Photos.
After these stunning shots, a change into some more casual attire was just the thing.
I LOVE these images! Sooo relaxed and playful.
One of my favorites:
And now, the first half of our session…
our soggy night at the Red River Valley Fair!
I’m in love with the colors and lights.
Thanks to the wet surface on the ground and the flashy sunlight that broke through after the storm,
the opportunities to shoot creatively were abundant!
We ended the evening on the iconic ferris wheel.
As a side note: what a rush to try and capture this shot….
I’ve never photographed on a ferris wheel before.
Rotating bucket seats, an off camera flash, manual focus and three seconds to nail it.
Feeling lucky!
What a perfect ending to the night.
Thanks for the fun, fun, FUN, Michael and Alex!
Cannot WAIT for the big day in November. 🙂
p.s. Alex’s coral and blue dress outfits were purchased at Your Day by Nicole in Downtown Fargo.
If you’re planning clothing for your upcoming engagement session, definitely check them out… these dresses photographed beautifully!
