Branding Session for Stacy Ebert, Children’s Book Illustrator
Happy Book Birthday to this sweet lady!!! I recently shot a branding session for Stacy Ebert, a children’s book illustrator whose book, “Hello World!” with Kelly Corrigan launches today! Working with such a creative, colorful personality like Stacy was a treat!
Right away, I knew Stacy’s session would carry a strong sense of color. However, we also shot some clean, simple images she could use to promote the business side of her work as illustrator.
Stacy is an artist who works digitally, without messy paints or pastels. However, she dreams up these incredibly engaging worlds and brings them to life! As I planned Stacy’s session a couple weeks pre-shoot, I imagined the idea of one of her sketches as a backdrop and putting her on a vintage ladder with a paintbrush. We printed the line drawing at 6×8 feet at The UPS Store and installed it on the studio wall. I LOVE how it turned out!

The line drawing backdrop added a TON of personality to so many images.
To get in a creative mood, Stacy loves to get up and dance while listening to music in her headphones.
Celebrations are better with cupcakes.
I wish I could sketch like Stacy! Haha!! It looks so fun!
I love how Stacy’s yellow shoes match perfectly with her earrings. Every part of this shoot was strategic and Stacy did a fantastic job preparing. I’m all booked up for branding sessions through this Spring, but have openings for a few more in fall 2021.
