Oxbow Country Club Styled Wedding Inspiration

I have a beautiful styled shoot to share with you today! Last week a team of local vendors and I teamed up to create some wedding day inspiration at the new Oxbow Country Club event venue. This site is a perfect blank canvas that can be used for so many wedding styles!
For this shoot, primarily planned by Allison at Blue Barn Event Floral and Carrie at Gathered. Boutique Rentals & Events. we used a neutral color scheme of deep emerald and white, also incorporating elements of brown and leather to create a look full of history and legacy. Scattered throughout the lounge space was solid furniture pieces with thick, heavy textiles, old locker baskets filled with baseballs and a vintage scale. Of special note are the leather chairs which Carrie has named “Dr. David”, after her Grandpa who owned a family dental office until his retirement last fall. The chairs have been re-purposed from his office, now giving new life to seating areas at events around the region. It was important to Carrie to use these “gathered” family pieces, grounding the shoot in maturity and tradition.
Our groom was in a slim fit Ike Behar suit, with personality expressed in his colorful socks and Chestnut shoes. Our beautiful bride wore a Gatsby-chic nude gown made of soft, flowing tulle and a beaded jacket over top. Working the balance between the bride’s art-deco glam look and the masculine feel of this shoot. Allison designed a soft, yet strong bouquet. Inspired by a cigar lounge, she chose Earl Gray roses due to their perfect shade of smoke. Banksia is the centerpiece of the bouquet and provided rich texture and a unique touch. Anemones and Santini Mums provided a pop of black. North Dakota is known for its legendary skies and this evening was the perfect showcase of the rich, warm sunsets our state is known for!
The lobby took on a whole new feel with the addition of this cozy seating area!
One of Carrie’s favorite details — a hand-knotted rug as a throw across the velvet, tufted chair.
The cake was covered in gold icing and decorated with fresh flowers.
