This wedding has “Minnesota Northwoods” written all over it! Jason & Jamie were married at Pine Haven Christian Assembly this past Saturday, June 4th. This Bible Camp tucked away in the woods near Park Rapids holds a lot of history for this couple. Not only is it a place where many of their summer weeks were spent, it was also the site of their first kiss and proposal! Their wedding day was a sweet celebration of love and radiated heartfelt commitment. It was an honor to document their love among the pines, and I’m excited to share these images with you today!
First look.
The negative space of this cloudy day provided a perfect backdrop for a bridal portrait.
Love this shot.
The bridesmaids wore shawls handmade by Jamie’s mom.
Just moments before their 10 a.m. morning ceremony, we snapped one last photo in front of the chapel.
The bride makes her entrance hand in hand with her mom. I love everything about this image and this moment!
One of my favorite moments of the ceremony was during the recessional, when everyone sang out out “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow” in acapella. I also loved how Jamie raised her bouquet in celebration.
Married!
The chilly, rainy day moved the outdoor reception plan into a local community center, where everyone enjoyed a warm room and a hot brunch!
Camp staffers made some pretty awesome french toast!
A birdseed exit!
Goodbye you two…
Lucky me got to follow the couple to a few more photo locations before they took off on a road trip honeymoon. The simplicity of their timeline allowed for so many portrait opportunities, which was wonderful! We found a forest of pine trees and it was magical.
Another stop at their favorite Park Rapids Coffee Shop, Bella Caffe.
“Married coffee tastes so much better!”
Congratulations, Jason & Jamie. It was an honor to photograph your wedding day… best wishes to you both!
I so enjoyed looking at the lovely album. Your wedding had so many wonderful personal touches which reflects your interests and personalities. My very best wishes to you both for a long and happy life together. David Bowermeister ( a friend of the bride’s Mother)
