Fargo Anniversary Sessions Joshua & Anneliesse

This post is near and dear to my heart! If you regularly follow my blog or social media you see photos of couples all the time! There are many amazing engagement sessions and wedding days, but one thing you have rarely seen here is photos of married couples and this year I am on a mission to change that! There are so many beautiful couples that are 2, 5 and 10 or even 30 years into marriage. After your  wedding life moves quickly and years pass as new jobs, new houses and new kids take center stage. Some couples have a sense of regret because they couldn’t afford a quality wedding photographer when they got married, and the images they received weren’t as good as they had hoped.  Other couples are able to squeeze in “just one photo” of the two of them during their annual family sessions, but most of the time those images involve kids running around their legs! An Anniversary Session is a way to celebrate this present stage of your marriage in a purposeful and intentional way. If you think about all the things you’ve gone through together since your wedding day, you realize how deep and strong your love has become. There is a new level of ease and comfort with each other that might not have been there before — one that comes from years of serving each other, fighting it out, walking through the valleys, laughing together, having shared  experiences and creating a life you love.  Besides that, dressing up together for photos is so fun! I think every married couple should do it!

When I first posted on my Facebook page about the beginning of Abby Anderson Anniversary Sessions, I had an incredible response.  Today’s post is about Joshua & Anneliesse who have been married eight years! For their Anniversary Session we met up at The Rourke Art Museum, one of my favorite locations in the Fargo-Moorhead area. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

The flowers at the Rourke are in full bloom! Fun fact — did you know the flower images all over my branding is from the bushes at this museum? True story!

The rain came out, so we ended the session with a few rainy images just for fun.
