The drive to Ernie & Mary’s ceremony at St. Mary’s of the Lakes was nothing short of Minnesota at its best. Our trademark row of pines lined the miles, with beaming blue lakes and fiery leaves around every bend. Instead of a big bridal party and dance, Ernie & Mary chose an intimate ceremony and incredible dinner with their closest family and friends at The Fireside in Detroit Lakes.  The lake is their happy place – where they spend time with each other and their kids. This choice of location perfectly reflected “home” and the blending of their families. Mary’s impeccable style and gracious hospitality touched every detail of this day and made it truly special for everyone involved. Photographing their wedding was a delightful way to cap off my 2019 wedding season. Kellie and I left with chocolate tart to go (and to die for) feeling more like family than wedding vendors. ♥ Just look at the beautiful details of this day!

I love the way the bending tree in the background mirror’s Ernie’s arm as he holds his bride. It draws my eye up and around them in togetherness.
